Only 2 of them

The recent activities that Koko and Didi enjoy doing together.
On the way back from SP. 2pm, nap time.

Shopping time. Koko was the one that told me there are 2 places for both of them. I need to rely on him for good observation now.

Enjoying the movie. Latest Didi's favorite - Wrath of the Titans. 'Alien' - that is what Didi describe. He can watch till almost end of the show. Once he even stopped Koko's movie 'Chicken Little' to  play his new movie.

Koko's favorite -Tom and Jerry. Watching while waiting for Daddy to be online.

1st Movie in Cinema

Koko had his experience when he was 2yrs++. Kungfu Panda. He managed to concentrate on movie till the end, though with 3 times visit to the loo. It was cold and I have forgotten to let him wear his long pant or jacket. The cinema wasn't pack and there were a lot of empty seats. Supposedly, Koko can enjoy the seat by himself, but he was tucked to Hubby and me coz of the temperature. We learnt the lesson.
Koko's 1st cinema movie
Didi's 1st cinema movie

Madagascar 3 has just started. Since Koko and Didi enjoy the movie, we thought it'll be good for Didi to experience cinema this round. Guess Didi didn't really understand what's cinema but he was excited as Koko was very excited about it. We went on Sat night, last minute decision. This time, I packed all the jackets, stocking and food for them. Knowing the condition and potential situation with both of them. Unfortunately, the movie was fully packed except for the 1st row. Koko was so disappointed. Crying in front of the cinema shouting Madagascar.

The next morning, as soon as Koko woke up, he said "Going to cinema now?". I were stunt as I thought he has forgotten about it. Need to keep the promise to him. We went to the cinema after breakfast thinking to catch the early show. It was packed too but luckily still have 4 rows from screen. This round, it was the experience with Didi. Didi is 2yrs++ now and it's his 1st movie in cinema. He stayed concentrated for ~30minutes. Then, he started to move around, started with popcorn and the drink and then the chocolate biscuits. He has total no focus on the movie after the first 30minutes. It was still ok for him to move around as he was not making any noise. Then, the game started. 'Em em, em em', said he wanna pass motion. Quickly I brought him to the toilet. He was so happy to get out from the movie. Ok, finished pass urine, we went in back. 10minutes later, he said again wanna get to toilet. In total, 3 times we went to toilet. By the third time, the movie has left 10minute to ending. 'Finished??', Didi asked. Koko went to the toilet together on the last 2 rounds. He didn't has full concentration on the movie too. I guess a lot of eyes were on us as we were running in and out from the theater.

Madagascar 3 isn't superb compare to Madagascar 2 or 1. There is no specific scene that give you a 'wow' feel. I didn't really has time to enjoy the movie, as concentration was with the 2 little boys. Conclusion, Didi and Koko need toilet break!! Anyway, it was a good experience with them. Now, fulfill another milestone for Didi.

Drawing by Koko

After saw Didi with a paper to draw 'papaya', Koko started his drawing too. This is what he did.
He drew these first, eye, nose and a smiling mouth
I asked him, on each of the others parts and this is what Koko ended up with.
He improved on this earlier drawing. Adding the body, ear, legs..
These was I saw at the end on the paper.

I'm very proud with Koko.

Koko's masterpiece

Last few days, while Koko was starting to do some scrubbing here and there, he said suddenly that he wanna draw the angry bird. He then placed it in front of him and start to draw. He is expert on the eye drawing, knew how to shade it and make a good circle.
These are the best among many many that Koko has drawn.
And then, he continue with his drawing. Flowers. He surprised me which these flowers because he drew surrounding the paper. Koko said 'A lot of flowers.' He knew how to make pattern and draw in his own way now. After he drawn, he makes plane with the paper. I took them after found them on the floor in the room. Aeroplane..

Cheeky Koko recently...

Koko is now 19++kg, and he is over 100cm (causing us to pay extra head for buffet). He has his own thought and can surprise you with his actions. He is learning fast. One of the thing that I notice most is he will learn when he watched me or Hubby do it. Eg: I will use a chair to climb up to get thing high store in the cupboard. Now, Koko and even Didi knows that they need something to help them to reach high. Koko will push the chair around to the place he wanna reach. Didi is still very cautious on climbing on small surface such as chair, but he will start on anything that is big for him to reach.

Check these out.. very playful Koko nowadays..

Koko was running at the mall to look for his favorite machine, unfortunately he can't find it and he found these.

We went into the games center. Koko was trying everything (no coin inserted by the way :)). Luckily, he didn't insisted on staying there.

Koko followed his cousin brother very closely. One of day, after the Pangkor trip, I asked him if he wanna new swimming costume. He told me ' Yes, and i want the Ben10 shirt too.' I were surprise, where does this Ben10 shirt come about. 'ED Koko wear it.' Oohh... now I realize..

Koko did this himself. Showing off his serious face and asked me to take photo. I found it so funny as his face is totally looks very different.

With Punjabi shirt that bought by Hubby. I were forced to keep this green shirt as Koko loves it so much. Among 10 of them, this is the one he chooses. The deodorant, that's the thing that he is promoting and he insisted must has it to take the photo.

Koko is good at posing now.

Taken last night. This morning, while Koko was sitting there, Didi mentioned he want to. But I said no to Didi as we were rushing. Then, Didi just did it in his new pampers. I feel guilty for not trusting Didi this time. Didi has tricked me almost every night when he doesn't wanna go to bed.

22months old..

Didi is 22 months old today. What a great milestone to achieve. 2 more months to go for 2 years old. Time really  flies. Fast and not waiting for you to realize about it. Today seems to be slow, but when recall on yesterday, it was fast over.

So, what has Didi been achieving so far? For a 22months old baby, I'm very glad with Didi's progress. He has been picking up a lot of new words. 'On light', 'on light' was his word last night when I forced him to sleep at 9pm. Then this morning, I have to force him to wake up and he has been shouting 'avatar', 'avatar' as he didn't wanna get into the car. Didi can repeat words with a very good pronunciation. 'Rabbit', 'parrot', 'panda', etc..

His favorite word for his book is 'fly'. He means the butterfly. Somehow, he just doesn't wanna pronounce the word 'butterfly'. On the fruit list, Didi can say 'papaya', 'nana'- for banana, 'nut-nut'- for coconut (why nut nut? I was wondering too, wouldn't it suppose to be coco).

The thing that he will ask everyday. ' Heart-shape'. When I told him to get his vitamin, he knows that I'm referring to his heart-shape.

You may feel it is tough to catch what Didi is trying to say. For mummy, it's never a problem. That's the beauty to have your kids on your side everyday. You watch them to grow up, changing on phases, playing different games and new actions everyday.

Koko has reached the next stage

Now, Koko can ask about details and give you reasoning of his action.
On one of the night, before going to bed, Koko surprises me again with his reasoning,
Koko: Mummy cannot sleep with Daddy.
Mummy: Why?
Koko: We'll cry later.
Mummy: Who?
Koko: Didi and ZZ. Mummy sleeps with ZZ, ok?

Another special thing about Koko. He will know what Didi wants.
'Didi want to drink water.' 'Didi said he doesn't want to eat'. 'Didi said want to watch TV.'
Koko can speak on behalf of Didi.

Koko is smart on recognizing the road to places that we went. One of the day, he wanted to eat chicken rice + egg (his most favorite food)  for dinner. We were heading to BM town that moment. He kept on insisting there was no chicken rice there and kept on crying in the car. Chicken rice is at KM town and he knew we were heading to the different direction. He only settled down when I told him to get his 'lak lak' (spicy) rice instead of chicken rice.

The questions of  'what' and 'where' always pop up from Koko.
"what are you doing?", 'where did you go?'
When he is watching the TV, there are a lot of question from him. 'where is avatar?' 'where is the robot?' 'where is the frog?' For Didi is simple 'avatar le?' 'frog le?'
Whatever Koko asked, will be repeated again if heard by Didi.

The food I wish for this CNY

I have been 'yam seng' with my boys for the last few days. Is not common to get this flavor if it is not CNY. Taste, almost the same as the typical one. Colour is the same, yellowish. I have been asking hubby to get it since last year CNY. Only manage to buy this year, but without any promotion.

That is the cookies that I wanted to eat for this year. Hmm..mom never did this, so I just bought from the market. Just to satisfy my taste bud. I always thought it is very nice until I tried it again this year. Somehow it just doesn't reflect the memory that I have.

So, sometimes, the good thing is better to be left alone than to retest or redo it again. The good feeling maybe gone.

Kulim chicken rice

On 4th day of CNY, during lunch, suddenly Koko said he wanna go back to Kulim. We were wondering why, since he was having such a great time there.

He said ' I want chicken rice. Go back Kulim.'

He missed the chicken rice so much that he wanted to go back immediately. We didn't bought the chicken rice, thought he may just eat the home cook food by MIL. Unfortunately, this little boy is very strong in principal, rather to wait for his chicken rice and not to eat at all.

The next day, while we were at the hawker street, Hubby just bought him a pack of chicken rice since Koko hasn't been eating almost whole day by now.

So guys, when you are here in Kulim, must remember the chicken rice. You will know then why my little boy can remember it so much.
Koko enjoying the Muar chicken rice. Nothing to compare to the one from Kulim. :)
Having otak-otak at the same time. Curious. First time he was trying this.

1 sweet for 2

Isn't this sweet? Sweet sweet..

Didi will always make sure Koko has a share in all the food he has. He will ask for additional, either given to Koko or he'll consume it if Koko didn't want.

Recent favorite in the mall

No matter which mall that we went, Koko will surely found his favorite area. Why these machines can be so attractive to kids? Luckily, Koko and Didi demand is only for one time of ride. And that's the reason, every time before getting out from the house, Koko will carry some coins in his hand, or else he will ask from Hubby when in the car. '3 pls'. Not too sure why he must ask for 3 coins.

Sharing is a gift

If and only if, both of them can share this together every time. It'll be world peace.

Cai Xiang Crab Rice Tambun

Hubby and I love this place. The food is special and worth to come again and again. After we visited the first time, we went back there almost every weekend for the month. That's what during September 2011 time. And the most recent visit was on New Year. We went together with another friend and his family. This round we managed to order 5 dishes at one time as usually we will only have 2-3dishes. The portion is quite huge and we didn't wanna waste the food or kill our tummy.

The signature dish -- Claypot Crab Rice. We enjoy the rice better than the crab :). A must have if you are first time there.

The next must have dish is 'Cai Po' Steam Fish. Yummy yummy. We always order this as Koko and Didi can enjoy them, plus Hubby is a fish lover.
We have the "Ang Siau Tu Ka' - stew pork trotter and this is another must have dish. Unfortunately, because we are too busy eating, I didn't manage to capture a photo to the next dishes.

My 3 boys.

About the pricing, it is reasonable. 2 person claypot rice is Rm40+, while 4 persons is RM50+. Steam fish is depending on market price. The one shows above is Rm18. 'Tu Ka' is only RM28.

Koko's colouring

We let Koko starts colouring since he get into school. 2yrs old. He got the right technique of holding pencil after almost a year in school. We have brought several boxes of colour pencil by the time he knows to correct way of holding the pencil. He started with a lot of scrubbing on the books. After his 3rd birthday, we notice that Koko starts to have good sense on colouring. At least, he can colour within the outline of the picture.

So, I have requested Hubby to buy the crayon for him. Crayon will be much easier as he can scrabble well with colour. Hubby always say crayon is will cause a lot of dirt and it's poisonous. Bad for Koko and the house too. I remembered that too, when I were small, crayon did cause all the dirts on the table after colouring. I told Hubby nowadays technology has improved, things have changed. Crayon too. After much pursued, at last Hubby bought the crayon for Koko. Since then, Koko starts to learn his colouring skill. Below is some of Koko's masterpiece.
I love this tortoise. Koko colours it by himself without any monitoring. A star for Koko.

Koko likes the frog to be blue.

 Tom & Jerry

Koko just loves his own way, rather than following the picture.

It happened sometimes, when Koko get too excited on his masterpiece.

Playful time

http://youtu.be/cEUvgbqTz8Q
Both of them loves the sofa, as part of their favorite's toy. It's not about the expensive toys or how complicated the toys got to be. All they need is just the time that mummy and daddy can spend with them.

Pomegranate - Didi's way of eating

After I peel the fruit, I just placed it in front for Didi. Usually he'll just use his hand and usually I'll just sit beside him and eat together as not to waste the fruit. He will make most of them on the floor.

Anyway, this time I just placed it for him so that I can continue my house work. After 10minutes, I popped up to look at Didi, to see how much left over. Surprising, Didi has poured all the pomegranate to the high chair table and placed the bowl on the dining table. He started to pick up the fruit using his mouth. It must be slow for Didi to pick up the small seed using his hand, I guess. Using mouth, it's faster. Another new exploration for Didi.

King of fruit

On Tuesday, when Koko got out from the car after I fetched him from school, the first question that he asked “Got durian today?”. I was wondering why he popped up this question when there was no sign for any durian around.  After I told him there is none, Koko didn’t ask anymore. Then while we were having dinner, suddenly Hubby popped the question to Koko “Do you want to have durian?”. Both of them have the same instinct. Hubby is a huge fan for durian. He can have durian for every weekend during the durian season. Finally, he found his partner to share with. Usually I’ll eat with Hubby, but I’m just not a huge fan of it. Hubby always wants to train Koko and Didi to share his interest, so that 3 of them can enjoy it at the same time.
Koko is smart, he doesn't wanna hold the durian. Just wanna eat.

Didi was enjoying the durian.

Yesterday lunch & dinner

It was hubby decision to cook yesterday. As usual, we will only do the most simple meal. No frying, no special skill needed and all free of oil if possible. Healthy. Once awhile you just got to get some healthy food.
Hubby's favorite steam Grouper fish. We has the head for lunch and tail for dinner. Koko always love the fish skin. He'll want nothing but only the skin. I guess this is the most soft part for him. As for Didi, he took a few of the tomato. He will always point on the tomato picture in the book for you to read for him. Didi has not been eating a lot recently. A few mouth of rice, little fish and some soup. Probably is because he has been snacking too much.

This is the typical porridge that Hubby will cook. Scallop, mushroom, dried oyster, carrot and meat. It's yummy, no doubt for it. Koko loves it too.
